Chair Dana Dillon is an intermediate grade school teacher from Weed. She has served on the board
since her election in 2003, including stints as chair and vice-chair. Ms. Dillon has been active in the California Teachers
Association for more than 26 years, serving as state council representative, and was recently elected to the board of
directors.

Vice-chair Harry M. Keiley is a high school teacher with the Santa Monica-Malibu
Unified School District, and was elected to the Teachers’ Retirement Board in 2007.
He has served as the president of Santa Monica-Malibu Classroom Teachers Association and chair
of the California Teachers Association Political Involvement Committee.

Sharon Hendricks is a Speech professor at Los Angeles City College and also serves as the retirement liaison for the Los Angeles College Faculty Guild. She lives in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. Ms. Hendricks has been a CalSTRS member since 2004.

Michael A. Lawson is the former leader of the Employee Benefits Group in the Los Angeles office of Skadden, Arps. Mr. Lawson worked on all facets of executive compensation and employee benefits matters. His experience included advising clients with respect to the structuring and offering of investment vehicles to pension plans and other institutional investors, as well as the fiduciary obligations of investment managers, trustees and other fiduciaries.

California treasurer Bill Lockyer served as California Attorney General from 1999-2006 after 25 years in
the California Legislature, including a stint as the Senate President pro Tempore. A graduate of University of California,
Berkeley, Lockyer earned his law degree from McGeorge School of Law and his teaching credential from California State University, Hayward.

Ana Matosantos was appointed Director of Finance in December 2009, having served as its chief deputy director for
budgets since April 2008. Previously, she served in executive positions with the Health and Human Services Agency and

Paul Rosenstiel manages the San Francisco office of De La Rosa & Co., a municipal bond investment bank. Since 1983, he has worked with numerous public agencies to issue bonds for infrastructure and other capital projects. From 2007-2009 he was deputy treasurer of the State of California. He received an MBA from Stanford.

Tom Torlakson served as a science teacher and athletic coach before being elected to the California
Senate and Assembly. He was chair and founder of the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness to promote
student health and fitness. While Superintendent of Public Instruction, he remains a teacher-on-leave at Mount Diablo
Unified School District.
